Noctis Lucis Caelum is the playable character and main protagonist of Final Fantasy XV.
He is the Crown Prince and heir to the throne of Lucis, the kingdom to have control over the Crystal. He was first announced for the cancelled game Final Fantasy Versus XIII, which eventually transformed into the Final Fantasy XV Universe. Underneath, he wears a steel gray shirt with skull prints.
The outfit is similar to the one worn by his father, but without stripes or neck ornaments, as it is also tailored to him. One was available since the beginning of the game, and others are obtained by progressing in the story, from DLC (both free and paid) and from patches.
Though his three companions are not royalty, Noctis usually acts as an equal to them.
